Freight Knowledge Meets Chinese SEO Expertise

Most agencies have to learn what LCL, FCL or a China-Europe rail booking means before they can write a single page. Our logistics team already knows. Mingze Dong studied maritime logistics before joining Jademond and has handled most of our logistics clients, including one of the world's largest international logistics groups. He works alongside Leo, an experienced SEO and SEA consultant who runs paid and organic search for our B2B clients.
We speak SEO, and we speak freight. That means shorter briefings and faster results.
Together they combine logistics industry knowledge, Baidu and Google SEO, paid search and Chinese social media in one team, so your campaigns are built around how Chinese shippers, brands and forwarders actually search for logistics partners.

The Challenges

Why Marketing Logistics Services in China Is Different

Logistics is a B2B business with technical buyers and long decision cycles. Generic China marketing rarely works, because Chinese logistics buyers search, compare and trust differently from Western ones.
๐Ÿ” Technical, problem-specific searches

Chinese buyers search for routes, modes and services in Chinese, for example ๆ‹ผ็ฎฑ (LCL), ๆ•ด็ฎฑ (FCL), ไธญๆฌง็ญๅˆ— (China-Europe rail) or ๅ›ฝ้™…่ดงไปฃ (international freight forwarder). Translated English keywords miss them.

โณ Long B2B decision cycles

Brands trust a logistics partner with their product lines only after a long evaluation. Your marketing has to nurture leads for months, not days.

๐ŸŒ Split domains and mixed languages

International sites that still carry Chinese pages compete with the Chinese site. This cannibalisation hurts both Baidu and Google rankings.

๐Ÿข Slow or unreachable websites

Hosting, third-party scripts and CDN choices can make a site slow or unreliable in Mainland China, long before SEO even starts.

๐Ÿค Trust is built in Chinese

Chinese shippers and forwarders expect Chinese-language proof, a WeChat presence and content that shows you understand their lanes.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Platform and advertising rules

Advertising requirements on Baidu and social platforms depend on your company registration and licences. We clarify them before launch, not after.

Western Logistics Providers Serving Chinese Brands

You already run mature warehousing and distribution networks in Europe and the Americas. Now you want to serve Chinese brands that sell into those markets. Winning a brand is a marathon: decision cycles are long, several stakeholders are involved, and trust is built over many touchpoints. We build the long-term visibility, Chinese-language content and nurturing programmes that keep you on the shortlist until the contract is signed.

The Faster Route: Chinese Freight Forwarders

  • Chinese forwarders already hold small, medium and large clients in China
  • They are always looking for more reliable or cheaper international partners to offer full-service logistics
  • Decision cycles are shorter than with brands, so partnerships can be signed faster
  • We target them with Baidu and WeChat campaigns, partner-focused content and outreach support
  • Combine both routes: forwarders for early revenue, brands for long-term growth

Results from Practice

Case Study: Global Logistics Leader, Chinese and International SEO

A leading international logistics group asked us to improve organic visibility in China. We started with an in-depth audit of both the Chinese website and the international website, which still contained pages with Chinese content that competed with the Chinese site. We then worked with the client's global IT team on a domain and language strategy that is technically sound for Baidu SEO and Google SEO at the same time. We optimised existing pages for Chinese search, localised content that was still in English on the Chinese site and covered several freight modes, including air, ocean (FCL and LCL) and rail and land transport. The result: organic traffic and leads from search grew and exceeded the targets set at the start of the project.

Case Study: European 3PL Targeting Chinese Cross-Border Brands

A European 3PL and fulfilment provider wanted to win Chinese e-commerce brands selling into the EU. Its website had no Chinese version, and none of its services appeared in Chinese search. We built a Chinese-language service section with localised pages for fulfilment, returns and customs support, and launched Baidu Ads on high-intent keywords. WeChat content kept new contacts engaged between the first enquiry and the sales meeting.

What Changed

  • A fast, Chinese-language website hosted for reliable access in Mainland China
  • Service pages that rank for Chinese fulfilment and cross-border logistics searches
  • A steady flow of qualified enquiries from Chinese brands and sellers
  • A WeChat account used by the sales team in follow-up conversations

Case Study: International Forwarder Building a Chinese Partner Network

A global freight forwarder with strong coverage in Europe and the Americas wanted Chinese forwarders as origin partners. We researched how Chinese forwarders look for overseas agents, built Chinese content around lanes, transit times and reliability, and ran Baidu and WeChat campaigns aimed at forwarding companies instead of end shippers. The sales team started to receive partnership enquiries from Chinese forwarders directly, which shortened the path to the first shared shipments compared with the brand-focused approach.

FAQ

Logistics Marketing in China: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions logistics, freight forwarding and supply chain companies ask us most often before entering the Chinese market.
Can logistics and freight companies advertise in China?
Yes. Logistics companies can run ads and organic campaigns on Baidu, WeChat, Douyin and Rednote. Requirements depend on your company registration, licences and the type of service advertised, and we clarify them before any campaign goes live.
Do we need a Chinese website and an ICP licence?
You need a Chinese-language website that loads reliably in Mainland China, but not necessarily an ICP licence. A site hosted in Hong Kong or another nearby location can work well, while an ICP licence requires a legal presence in Mainland China.
How long does it take to see results from China SEO for logistics?
Technical fixes and localised service pages can show effects within weeks, while stable rankings and lead growth are a medium-term effort. Logistics buyers take time to decide, so we measure rankings, qualified enquiries and sales conversations together.
Which channels work best for B2B logistics in China?
Baidu SEO and Baidu Ads capture buyers who already search for a service, while WeChat nurtures them over long decision cycles. Douyin and Rednote help you reach decision-makers and cross-border sellers who are not searching yet, so the best mix depends on your target audience.
Our international website still has Chinese pages. Is that a problem?
It can be. Chinese pages on an international domain may compete with your Chinese site and weaken rankings on both Baidu and Google. We audit the setup and work with your IT team on a domain and language structure that supports both search engines.
Should we target Chinese brands or Chinese freight forwarders?
Both can work, but they behave differently. Brands have long decision cycles, while Chinese freight forwarders are often looking for reliable international partners and can sign faster, so many clients start with forwarders and build brand visibility in parallel.
Do you publish client names in your case studies?
No. We keep client names confidential, and many logistics clients work with us under non-disclosure agreements, so every case study on our website is anonymised.
Do you also cover Google SEO and international SEO?
Yes. China projects often start with the international website, so we plan Baidu SEO and Google SEO together, including hreflang, domain structure and localisation of content.
