Chinese SEO Content Editor (WDF IDF for Baidu)

Paste the top-ranking competitor texts for your keyword, get concrete content targets, and write with live optimization feedback — the first WDF IDF editor built for the Chinese language.

Step 1: Analyze Your Competitors

Target keywords

1–5 keywords these pages rank for on Baidu. The first one is required. Traditional characters are converted to Simplified.

Competitor texts

Paste the main content of the top-ranking pages, in ranking order. At least 3, up to 10. Longer texts are trimmed to 10,000 characters; their full length still counts for the length benchmark.

Exclude terms (optional)

One term per line, e.g. brand names of the competitors or navigation words. A single word also removes every phrase containing it.

Your texts are processed on our server for this analysis only and are not stored.

About This Chinese SEO Content Editor

WDF IDF tools have been a staple of European SEO for years: analyze which terms top-ranking pages share, filter out words that are common everywhere, and write your content against the resulting targets. For Chinese — and for Baidu — no such tool existed, because Chinese text has no spaces between words: it needs word segmentation before anything can be counted.

This editor closes that gap. It splits the pages that rank on Baidu into words with a frequency dictionary of modern Chinese, compares them with everyday Chinese, and extracts the terms and phrases that matter: the ones many competitors use, but that are rare in general language. It also measures how difficult those texts are to read, how long they are and which questions they answer — because Baidu rewards different reading levels and different depths for different topics.

What the Analysis Shows

  • Core topic terms and phrases — the vocabulary most ranking pages share, filtered against everyday Chinese, with a typical usage range per 1,000 characters.
  • Keyword usage — exact and loose matches, keyword density, placement in the first 150 characters, and the terms pages use around your keyword.
  • Length and difficulty targets — a minimum and a competitive length in Chinese characters, and the reading-difficulty range of the ranking pages.
  • Page profiles — topic coverage, triviality, uniqueness and Simplified/Traditional script for each competitor.
  • Questions and Latin terms — questions the pages answer, and the brands, standards and units they write in Latin letters (HEPA, PM2.5).

How to Use This Tool

  1. Enter your target keywords — the search terms you want to rank for on Baidu.
  2. Paste the top-ranking competitor texts — copy the main content of the pages ranking top for that keyword. Three to ten texts give the best targets; empty fields are ignored.
  3. Review your targets — term and phrase lists with density ranges, a minimum text length, a reading-difficulty range and the questions the pages answer.
  4. Write in the live editor — the editor scores your text as you type: terms, phrases, keywords, length, difficulty, topic coverage, uniqueness, triviality, script and questions, plus a perfection score that tells you when your content beats the best competitor on every target.

Competitor texts are analyzed on the server and never stored. The editor runs entirely in your browser: your draft is never sent to the server.

Frequently Asked Questions

A WDF IDF analysis compares which terms the top-ranking Chinese pages for a keyword use, and how often. Terms that appear in many competing texts but are rare in general Chinese are the ones your content must cover. This tool measures both separately, how many pages use a term and how much more often they use it than everyday Chinese, and turns the result into concrete writing targets for up to 10 competitor texts.
Enter the keywords you want to rank for on Baidu, then paste the content of the top-ranking pages for them into the text fields. Click Analyze. The tool shows you the terms, phrases, length, reading difficulty and questions your text should target, and opens a live editor that scores your writing as you type.
At least 3 and up to 10. Terms that appear across many top-ranking pages are stronger signals than terms used by just one competitor, so more texts give more reliable targets.
Different topics rank with different reading levels on Baidu. A medical page reads differently from a lifestyle blog. The tool measures sentence length, clause length, rare words and rare characters of the top-ranking texts and derives the reading difficulty your own text should aim for.
Yes. Traditional texts are detected and converted to Simplified for the analysis, so both scripts count as the same terms. The targets are for Simplified Chinese, and the live editor warns you when your draft mixes the two scripts.
